MOORHEAD, MINN.—The Hamline University women's hockey team's 2021-22 regular season finale pitted them at Concordia (Minn.) on Sunday afternoon. The Pipers had an upper hand in shots at 37-31 and had six power-play opportunities, but could only manifest one goal in a 2-1 loss to the Cobbers.
The Pipers complete the regular season with a 13-9, 11-5 MIAC record, while the Cobbers end things with a 9-13-1, 5-10-1 MIACÂ mark.

It took until the 18:31 mark of the second period before a team could find the score column, as Concordia's Lynze Swanson gave her team a 1-0 lead.
The Pipers capitalized on a Concordia holding penalty called at 2:42 of the third period, as Morgan Wohlers netted her first collegiate goal off an assist from Jordan Hansen and Mackenzie Kaasa at 3:45 of the frame to knot things at 1-1.
It looked as if the game was heading into overtime, but Paige Hanson put an end to that at 18:59 of the third period to seal Concordia a 2-1 victory.
McKenna Hulslander made 29 saves in net for Hamline, while Cobbers goalie Kiana Flaig stopped 36 shots.
The No. 2 seed Pipers will embark on the 2021-22 MIAC Quarterfinal against either No. 10 seed St. Olaf, or No. 7 seed Bethel at TRIA Rink on Saturday, February 26 at 7 p.m.
