COLLEGEVILLE, MINN.—The No. 8 seed Hamline University men's basketball team saw its 2021-22 season come to an end in the MIAC Tournament Quarterfinal, as they fell 74-53 to top-seeded Saint John's in Collegeville, Minnesota on Wednesday night.
The Pipers finish the season with a 10-16 record, while the Johnnies advance to the MIAC Semifinal on Friday night against No. 5 seed St. Olaf with a 21-4 overall mark.

The Johnnies led from start-to-finish despite Hamline holding them to a dismal 4-of-21 (.190) figure from beyond the arch. The Pipers couldn't capitalize at the three-point line as well, as they knocked down just 3-of-12 (.250) shots. Saint John's made up for their subpar three-point shooting with a 28-of-54 (.519) field goal percentage.
Cooper Berg registered a double double in his final collegiate game with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Tait Nelson chipped in with 13 points. Ryan Thissen paced the Johnnies with a game-high 24 points, while Mitchell Plombon contributed a double double that included 14 points and 10 boards.
The Pipers bid farewell to seniors Berg, Jake Larson, and Andrew Jackson.
