Hamline scored the game's first four runs. One of those occurred in the first inning courtesy of Jenna Rubbelke; who walked, stole second, and scored on Megan Rubbelke's double to give the Pipers a 1-0 edge. Deja vù took hold in the second inning as Jenna Rubbelke led things off with a bunt single, and advanced to second base on Amber Peterson's sacrifice bunt. This set up Megan Rubbelke's RBI-double that made the score 2-0. Megan Rubbelke moved to third base on Kira Krueger's single before she scored on a wild pitch to make things 3-0.

Jenna Rubbelke's stellar base running in the fifth inning widened Hamline's lead to 4-0. She reached on a fielder's choice before she circled the bases on two stolen bases and a wild pitch.

The Gusties narrowed their deficit to 4-3 over the fifth and sixth innings, which culminated with Greta Dahlen's two-run home run in the latter frame.

Dana Rosbacka allowed four hits and three runs in a complete-game pitching victory for the Pipers. Megan Rubbelke (two doubles) and Raelyn Costley each went 2-for-3 at the plate for Hamline, while Jenna Rubbelke led the way with three runs scored.

Hamline 15, Gustavus Adolphus 6

The Pipers led from start-to-finish, which included a big seven-run fourth inning that gave them enough cushion in a 15-6 domination.

A season-high 17 hits and 15 runs came from the Hamline offense, led by Jenna Rubbelke's 4-for-4 outing that included three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Lydia Lecher's career game consisted of a 3-for-5 outing that included a home run and a team-leading four RBI. Megan Rubbelke and Amber Peterson each went 2-for-4, while Savannah Johnson and Raelyn Costley were each effective at the bottom of the order with 2-for-3 games.

Kira Krueger went the distance inside the pitching circle. She gave up 11 hits, six runs (three earned), and one walk for Hamline

The Pipers will host Saint Benedict (DH) at Meredith Field on Sunday, April 24 at 1 p.m.
