SARTELL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's tennis team made the trek to Sartell, Minnesota for a Thursday-night battle at Saint John's (Minn.), where they dropped a 9-0 decision.
The Pipers fall to 5-13, 2-6 MIAC, while the Johnnies improve to 10-6, 6-3 MIAC.
"Our guys fought their butts off against a top-three team in the conference today," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Today was a really good effort for a developing team, and I'm ok with that."

The most competitive match occurred at No. 2 singles, where Sam Thompson dropped a heartbreaking 6-1, 2-6, 10-6 decision.
The Pipers will conclude their 2021-22 season at home against Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday, April 30 at 11 a.m.
