ST. CLOUD, MINN.—The Hamline University women's hockey team traveled to Saint Benedict for the back-end of a MIAC home-and-home series in St. Cloud on Saturday evening. The Bennies registered three unanswered goals that resulted in a come-from-behind 3-2 victory, and a weekend sweep of the Pipers.
Hamline falls to 7-9-1, 6-3-1 MIAC, while Saint Benedict improves to 9-6-0, 7-3-0 MIAC.

Hamline out shot the Bennies 9-3 over the opening 11 minutes of the game. It helped the Pipers jump to a quick 2-0 lead behind Cheyenne Abear's power-play tally at 8:29 of the first, followed by Nikki Olund's goal at 10:54.
Hamline would pepper 16 more shots in the contest, but Bennie goaltender Ally Frantzick was there to stop all of them. Her teammates answered the bell as Saint Benedict rattled off three unanswered goals thanks to Shauna Miller at 11:52 of the first, Aurora Opsahl at 00:33 of the third, and Ava Stinnett at 17:19 of the third that iced a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Pipers.
Emme Nelson, Ally Steffensmeier, and Mackenzie Kaasa each had an assist in the game.
Maddie Nickell stopped 23 shots in net for Hamline, while Frantzick countered that total between the pipes for a Bennies team that held a slim 26-25 edge in shots.
The Pipers will host St. Scholastica at Tria Rink on Friday, January 27 at 7 p.m.
