MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—The Hamline University women's basketball team took a short drive down I-94 to defending MIAC Regular Season Champion Augsburg University on Saturday afternoon. A whopping 14 lead changes and 10 ties occurred throughout the contest, but it was the Auggies who turned the ball over just eight times and forced 18 on the Pipers en route to a 63-59 victory.
Hamline falls to 9-2, 6-2 MIAC, while Augsburg improves to 8-3, 5-3 MIAC.

Nine Pipers found the score column, led by Lydia Lecher's double double 16 points and 11 rebounds, followed by Chan'el Anderson-Manning's 10 points. Alyssa Williamson registered a game-high five assists and 11 rebounds.
Both teams couldn't find their stroke from beyond the arch as they combined for a 13-of-54 (.241) figure. The Pipers converted just one three-pointer in the second half.
Anja Smith registered a game-high 20 points and nine rebounds for Augsburg, followed by Jacey Coplin's 18 points.
The Pipers will travel to Macalester on Wednesday, January 11 for a 7 p.m. game.
