ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Hamline University football team made the short trip to No. 16 Bethel for a Saturday-afternoon bout. Quarterback George Bolt engineered the Royals through the air and ground in a 49-7 victory over the Pipers.
Bethel improves to 5-2, 4-1 MIAC, while Hamline falls to 2-5, 0-5 MIAC.

Bolt accounted for four-of-five Royals touchdowns over the opening three quarters; where he threw for one, and rushed for three to help power his team to a 42-0 lead heading into the final frame. The Pipers avoided a shutout with 14:21 left in the fourth quarter, when Charlie Wilson capped a seven-play drive with a 23-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Alejandro Villanueva that narrowed the score to 42-7.
Bethel closed the game's scoring on the next drive courtesy of Warren Kinney's one-yard rush that pushed the margin to 49-7 with 8:17 left in the game.
Bolt completed 20-of-28 passes for 271 yards and one score. He contributed in the ground game with 43 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.
Villanueva went 14-of-21 for 117 yards and one touchdown for Hamline. Wilson paced the Hamline receiving corps with five catches for 70 yards and one touchdown. Juan Bertaud and Elijah Gingras each registered nine tackles for the Pipers defense.
Hamline will host Macalester for the "Paint Bucket Game" on Saturday, October 28 at 1 p.m.
