WINONA, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team traveled to Saint Mary's (Minn.) for their 2023 season finale on Saturday afternoon. Both teams combined for 27 shots, but none of them found the back of the net in a 0-0 tie.
The Pipers conclude the 2023 season with an 8-6-3, 2-5-3 MIAC record, while the Cardinals end their campaign with a 6-6-5, 2-5-3 MIAC mark.
Hamline 0, Saint Mary's 0
The first half resulted in a 7-4 shots advantage for Hamline, led by two apiece from James Sondo and Dane Hanks. Hamline finished the contest with a 16-11 shots advantage, as Pipers top scorer Ryder Tomlinson Sterud led the way in that category with three.
The Cardinals were assessed four-of-five infractions in the contest, which included Kyle Anderson's red card in the 33rd minute.Â
Luke Rimington made four saves in net for Hamline, while his counterpart Daniel Sessler stopped eight shots between the pipes for Saint Mary's.
The Pipers have two fifth years (Jared Garcia, Nate Vogel), as well as five seniors (Luke Rimington, Seth Hardesty, Kaleb Hoye, Samuel Kendrick, Cole Brennan) on their 2023 roster.
