SAINT PAUL, MINN - The Hamline University women's hockey team welcomed in St. Norbert to Tria Rink for a Saturday afternoon non-conference contest. The Green Knights answered the Pipers' awesome performance last night with one for themselves today putting up five goals compared to Hamline's two.Â

The Green Knights got the scoring started with a goal from Courtnie Hogan at 11:56 of the first period making the score 1-0 heading into the first break. St. Norbert came out with another goal at 3:49 in the second period from Morgan Olson making the score 2-0. Shortly after, the Pipers answered with a goal from
Emme Nelson to shrink the deficit to 2-1. Hogan ended the second period with another goal at 17:58, making the score 3-1 in favor of the Green Knights. The first 16 minutes of the third period was a defensive battle for both teams with zero goals. Freshman defender
Abby Chamernick scored her first collegiate goal with four minutes to go in the game to get the deficit back to 3-2. Hogan for the Green Knights added to her monster four-goal day with scores at 16:40 and 18:24 to ruin the Pipers' comeback making the final score 5-2.Â

The goalie, Brynn Waisman stood out for the Green Knights this afternoon with 42 saves, holding the Pipers to only two goals. Her counterpart
Olivia Rinzel had 16 saves, allowing four goals.Â

Haley Eder-Zdechlik and
Erika Broten had team highs in shots with six each for the Pipers. The team outshot St. Norbert 44-21.Â

The Pipers look to bounce back next Friday, November 3rd, against UW-Superior in Tria Rink at 7 p.m.
