SAINT PAUL, MINN - The Hamline University women's soccer team hosted St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon at Pat Paterson Field for a MIAC matchup. The Pipers lost a tough 1-0 battle today against the Oles.Â

Hamline falls to 1-8-1, 0-4-1 in MIAC play, while St. Olaf improves to 4-4-3, 2-2-2Â in conference play.Â

This game was a defensive battle from beginning-to-end. The first half was back-and-forth with no scoring. St. Olaf's Emily Johnson scored the lone goal today in the 53rd minute. The Pipers made a late run in the final minute of the game with a chance of tying the game but came up just short resulting in a 1-0 St. Olaf victory.Â

Isabella Jensen made five saves while her counterpart Maddie Black did not have an opportunity for one. The Oles out shot the Pipers 12-1 with one of the shots resulting in a goal.Â
