NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Hamline University women's basketball team turned the ball over just four times, which played a large role in a 68-55 road victory over St. Olaf on Wednesday night.
The Pipers improve to 5-1, 4-1 MIAC, while the Oles fall to 2-5, 1-3 MIAC.

The last time Hamline managed to keep their turnovers that low was February 22, 2020, when they committed four in a 79-76 win over Concordia (Minn.). All five of the game's lead changes occurred in the opening quarter, where Hamline ended it with a 10-3 run that put them in the driver's seat for good at 19-14. The Oles were able to cut their deficit to two points on three occasions in the third quarter, but Hamline pulled away with 22 fourth-quarter points that secured them a 68-55 victory.
Michaela Stamer notched a game-high 20 points along with three assists, two steals, and four rebounds. Kate Trachsel also had three assists and two steals, which complimented her 14-point outing. Sophie Stork sparked the bench with 11 points and six rebounds to round out the double figure scorers, while Faith Johnson notched a team-leading 10 boards along with eight points.
Despite being held to zero points, Lydia Lecher paced Hamline with two blocks. The Pipers forced 21 Ole turnovers.
Sophia Kormann led St. Olaf with 14 points and 10 rebounds for a double double. Chloee Smith had 12 boards off the bench.
The Pipers will travel to Concordia (Minn.) on Saturday, December 9 for a 1 p.m. game.
