GREEN BAY, WIS.—The Hamline University women's tennis team made the four-hour trip east to St. Norbert on Friday, where they dropped a heartbreaking 5-4 decision.
The Pipers fall to 1-5, while the Green Knights improve to 5-11.
"We lost a nail-biter today at the Green Bay Racquet Club," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "First collegiate wins for Ashley Pitzen, Natalie Randall and Lynn Nguyen. Our extremely young team lost three excruciatingly close matches to a veteran St. Norbert squad. I am so proud of the fight and effort that my girls showed. Bright things are ahead for the squad."
