ROGERS, MINN.—The Hamline University men's tennis team hosted Saint John's for a Saturday-night bout at the Rogers Tennis Center, where they dropped an 8-1 decision.
The Pipers fall to 9-5, 1-4 MIAC while the Johnnies improve to 7-7, 4-2 MIAC.

Tyler Rousslang picked up Hamline's lone victory at No. 3 singles by a score of 6-3, 6-2. However, the Pipers were within striking distance as they dropped three matches via tiebreak. Sam Thompson fell 6-4, 3-6, 0-1 at No 1, Isaac Hultberg dropped a 6-3, 3-6, 0-1 decision at No. 2, and Zach Irrthum lost 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 at the No. 6Â spot.
The Pipers will host Macalester at InnerCity Tennis in Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m.
