ROSEVILLE, MINN.—The Hamline University men's tennis team made the short trip up Snelling Avenue to face Northwestern (Minn.) on Wednesday, where they dropped an 8-1 decision.
The Pipers fall to 9-7, while the Eagles improve to 11-8.
"Great comeback wins for freshman Zach Irrthum tonight," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Several really tough close losses and very winnable matches. Surprise Taylor and Isaac Hultberg lost nail bitters. Look for some changes in our men's doubles lineup as we try to revitalize that squad for the stretch run of our season."
Northwestern 8, Hamline 1
