MANKATO, MINN.—The Hamline University softball team hosted Gustavus Adolphus (DH) at the Minnesota State Mankato Maverick All-Sports Dome on Saturday afternoon, where they dropped a pair of games by scores of 4-0 and 9-0 (5 Innings).
The Pipers fall to 11-14-1, 5-7 MIAC, while the Gusties improve to 14-14, 7-5 MIAC.
Gustavus 4, Hamline 0
Dana Rosbacka went the distance in the circle for Hamline as she allowed 12 hits, four runs, no walks, and notched six strikeouts. The Gusties took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, followed by a three-run sixth frame thanks to Kayla Herda's bases-loaded double.
The Pipers offense mustered four hits, highlighted by Abbey Herbert's double. Piper Otto surrendered no walks and tallied four strikeouts on the pitching rubber for Gustavus.
Gustavus 9, Hamline 0 (5 Innings)
Maizie Anderson surrendered just five hits, two walks, and notched four strikeouts in the circle for Gustavus. Jenna Rubbelke and Raelyn Costley accounted for most of those hits as they each registered two. Costley and Gabby Cook each tallied a double for the Pipers.
Hamline pitcher Montana Miller allowed 13 hits, nine runs, one walk, and tallied two strikeouts. Four different Gusties notched a two-hit game.
The Pipers will travel to Saint Benedict (DH) tomorrow, Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
