VIRGINIA, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team traveled to Virginia, Minnesota for their 2022-23 season finale against St. Scholastica on Sunday, where they dropped a 7-2 decision.
The Pipers end their season with a 4-16 record, while the Saints conclude their campaign with a 7-12 mark.
"Two terrific wins for Lynn Nguyen this evening at the Virginia Indoor Tennis Center," said Piper head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Definitely the best one of her young career to kickstart our women's team for next year's battles."
St. Scholastica 7, Hamline 2
The doubles flight saw Ashley Pitzen/Lynn Nguyen prevail with an 8-6 win at the No. 2 spot. Nguyen continued to carry Hamline on her shoulders with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at No. 3 singles.
The Pipers are set to return their entire roster for 2023-24.
