Box Score SAINT PAUL, MINN - The Hamline University women's volleyball team welcomed Nebraska Wesleyan to Historic Hutton Arena for a non-conference game on Friday night. The Pipers lost a four-set battle to the Prairie Wolves by a score of 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19).

Hamline falls to 3-8, while Nebraska Wesleyan moves to 10-5.

The Pipers got out to a great start in the opening set winning it 25-23 over the Prairie Wolves. It was a back-and-forth set, but Hamline came up clutch to make it a 1-0 match lead. Nebraska Wesleyan took the second frame by a score of 25-18. The third set was a lot like the first, but the Prairie Wolves ended up taking this one 25-22. Nebraska Wesleyan closed out the match with a 25-19 victory in the fourth set to secure a 3-1 match win.

Elizabeth Lopata led the charge with 14 kills while Julianna Boyum and Lauren Wilborn were behind her with 11 each for Hamline. Jenna Rubbelke had an awesome night with team highs in aces (five) and digs (26). Kaitlyn Kotek led the Pipers with 33 assists.Â

Hamline will head to Concordia (Minn.) for a conference battle on Saturday, September 30th at 7 p.m.
