SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team squared-off against Buena Vista in a Sunday-morning affair at Pat Paterson Field. The Pipers registered eight first-half goals, which was all of their scoring in an 8-0 decision over the Beavers.
The last time Hamline scored that many goals was almost five years to the day on September 4, 2018, when they defeated Minnesota Morris 8-0 on the road. The Pipers had six assists in the game, which was more than the total of four they had all of last season. The six assists was the most Hamline had in a single-game since September 1, 2016, when their 10-1 victory over UW-Superior consisted of nine.
Hamline improves to 1-1, while Buena Vista falls to 0-2.
