SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Alumni Day themed the Hamline University women's basketball team's Saturday-afternoon MIAC bout against Augsburg. Kalena Myers' three-pointer in the game's final seconds propelled the Auggies to a 58-55 decision over the Pipers.
Hamline falls to 6-5, 4-3 MIAC, while Augsburg improves to 4-6, 3-4 MIAC.

It was a game of Deja vú for a Pipers squad that converted five field goals in each quarter, as well as a 10-of-28 (.357) field goal percentage in each half. Six of the game's nine lead changes took place in the second half, as Hamline's latest lead was 54-52 with 1:15 remaining thanks to a pair of free throws from Michaela Stamer.Â
Myers engineered Augsburg's 6-1 run in the game's final minute with five points, which included the game-winning shot from beyond the arch with 00:03 left that secured a 58-55 win over the Pipers.
Lydia Lecher and Camille Cummings each had 12 points for Hamline. Lecher added a game-high three steals, while Kate Trachsel and Stamer each had four assists.Â
Sophie Stork's team-leading eight rebounds highlighted a Pipers squad that held a 33-29 advantage in that category.
Myers paced Augsburg with a game-high 13 points and six assists.Â
The Pipers will travel to St. Scholastica on Wednesday, January 10 for a 7 p.m. game.
