MOORHEAD, MINN.— The up-and-down battle between the Hamline University women's soccer team and Concordia (Minn.) on Tuesday afternoon consisted of six shots on goal and seven fouls apiece, as well as a slim 10-9 shots advantage for Concordia. The Cobbers prevailed on their home turf with an early goal in the 10th minute that sealed them a 1-0 victory over the Pipers.
Hamline falls to 3-5-3, 0-2-2 MIAC, while Concordia improves to 7-2, 3-1 MIAC.

It took the Cobbers 10 minutes to strike a goal as Lucy Halverson capitalized off a Hamline turnover, and let the ball bounce off her foot over to Kylee James. She took the ball down to about 20 yards in front of the net, and fired a shot to the top-left of the goal to give Concordia a 1-0 lead.
Addyson Barrett accounted for four-of-nine of the Pipers' shots in the contest.
Isabella Jensen made four saves in net for Hamline, while Kaitlin Petrich stopped six shots in a complete-game shutout for Concordia.
The Pipers will host Bethel at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday, October 5 at 1 p.m.
