SAINT PAUL, MINN.--The Hamline University women's soccer team fell to Macalester 3-2 in a closely contested soccer match at Paterson Field in Saint Paul, highlighted by three unanswered second-half tallies.
Hamline falls to 5-9-5, 1-6-3 MIAC, while Macalester improves to 6-7-3, 3-5-2 MIAC.

The Pipers led 2-0 against Macalester after the first half, with both goals scored by
Addyson Barrett in the 15th and 23rd minutes, the second assisted by
Maya Dempsey.
Isabella Jensen was strong in goal for the Pipers, saving multiple shots, including efforts from Macalester's Erica Hamilton and Julia Hanson. The first half saw frequent stoppages with three offsides and several fouls committed by both teams.
In the second half, Macalester turned the game around with three goals, overcoming Hamline's prior lead. Key plays included a goal by Sophie Jones in the 53rd minute, a penalty kick conversion by Gaby Valle in the 79th, followed by a late tally by Mikaely Evans in the 89th, bringing the final score to 3-2 in favor of Macalester.
