SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's hockey team peppered 69 shots on goal in their 8-1 victory over Lawrence at TRIA Rink on Saturday afternoon.
The Pipers move to 2-0 with the weekend sweep, while the Vikings fall to 0-2.

Emme Nelson, Haley Eder-Zdechlik, and Cailey McLaughlin each netted a pair of goals for the Pipers, who out shot the Vikings 69-3. Nelson added an assist to her stat line for a three-point outing. Morgan Wohlers also had a three-point afternoon with one goal and two assists, while Annabel Mehta also had a pair of assists. Rounding out the Hamline goal scorers was Nikki Olund, who finished with one goal and one assist. Twelve individuals recorded a point for the Pipers.
Lawrence's lone goal came from Evelyn Pryadkin on the power play at 18:57 of the second period.
Harper Powell recorded two saves in net for Hamline, while Ella Sciborski registered 46 stops between the pipes for Lawrence.
The Pipers will travel to UW-Superior on Friday, November 8 for a 3 p.m. game.
