SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's basketball team prevailed with a 55-46 victory over Macalester at Hutton Arena on Saturday. Ally Thompson, Michaela Stamer, and Lydia Lecher were honored for Senior Day.
The Pipers improve to 11-11, 9-9 MIAC, while the Scots fall to 9-15, 6-13 MIAC.
Hamline 55, Macalester 46
Macalester's 46 points tied for a season-low from an opposing team in a conference game.Â
The game's sixth and final lead change occurred with 2:17 remaining in the third quarter, when Lauren Cooper's three-pointer put Hamline in front 35-33. Camille Cummings went on to score 11 of her 13 points over the final 11:00 of the contest, which helped keep the Pipers in front in a 55-46 victory over the Scots.
Lecher paced Hamline with 15 points, while Cummings and Sophie Stork each had 13 points off the bench. Cummings added 11 rebounds for a double double, as well as two steals.Â
Peyton Starks registered a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds for Macalester.
Hamline will embark on their final home game of the season on Wednesday, February 14 against St. Scholastica. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
