SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The No. 4 seed Hamline University men's basketball team hosted No. 5 seed Concordia (Minn.) in the 2023-24 MIAC Tournament First Round on Wednesday evening. With the exception of the 2021-22 MIAC Tournament, when the top-eight qualified, this marked the Pipers' first playoff game at Hutton Arena since 2010-11. The Pipers took care of the Cobbers 73-55.
Hamline improves to 16-10, while Concordia ends their season with a 16-10 mark.

After all four of the game's lead changes took place over the opening 3:30 of play, the Pipers went on an 18-8 run that put them in the driver's seat for good at 24-14 with 8:58 remaining in the first half. Hamline surrendered their double-digit cushion just four more times, but quickly regained it each time and secured a 73-55 win.
Daniel McCarrell paced Hamline with a team-leading 16 points, followed by 13 from Bradley Cimperman. Austin Holt added another double double to his resume with 12 points and 14 rebounds, as well as a team-leading five assists and two blocks. Brendan Ebel led the way with three steals to go with nine points.
Rowan Nelson had 17 points for Concordia.
