MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—An 18-5 first-quarter run gave the Hamline University women's basketball team enough cushion in a 70-46 road victory over Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.
The Pipers move to 10-10, 8-8 MIAC, while the Auggies fall to 7-11, 6-9 MIAC.

After hitting just two 3-point baskets at St. Catherine on Wednesday, Hamline came back strong in that department with an 11-of-33 (.333) mark. Camille Cummings's 18 points off the bench was highlighted by a 4-of-8 figure from beyond the arch.
Sophie Stork, who nailed 3-of-5 three-pointers, registered 11 points while Faith Johnson had a double double 11 points and 14 rebounds. Yasmeen Abed rounded out the double figure Pipers with 11 points. Michaela Stamer was within striking distance of a double double with nine points and nine boards. Fifteen Pipers saw playing time.Â
Kalena Myers led Augsburg with 12 points.
Hamline will host St. Olaf on Monday, February 5 at 7 p.m.
