ST. PETER, MINN.—The Hamline University women's hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision on the road to No. 2 Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday afternoon.
The Pipers fall to 16-5-0, 11-3-0 MIAC, while the Gusties improve to 16-4-0, 13-1-0 MIAC.

Both teams combined for just 35 shots on goal in the contest, as Gustavus held an 18-17 edge despite nine power play opportunities for the Pipers. Goals from Hannah Gray at 9:29 of the first, Hailey Holland at 7:44 of the second, and Macy Janssen at 8:42 of the second put the Gusties in front 3-0.
Hamline avoided the shutout at 15:29 of the third period, when Morgan Wohlers converted a goal off an assist from Sydney Lemke to make the score 3-1.
Kendra Nordick made 15 saves in net for the Pipers, while Katie McCoy stopped 16 shots in net for the Gusties.
The Pipers will host Augsburg at TRIA Rink on Friday, February 9 at 6 p.m.
