The Pointers managed to keep it close throughout the first half, where they tied the game 2-2 behind goals from Marissa Van Dyke with 6:49 left in the first quarter and Allison Talir with 1:05 remaining in the second quarter.

Lily Uhl's goal at the second-quarter buzzer gave Hamline a 3-2 lead, and was the start to a string of eight goals that gave them enough cushion in a 10-4 victory.

Maitland Luksan had three goals and eight shots for the Pipers, who out shot the Pointers 34-17. Uhl finished with a team-leading four ground balls and two caused turnovers along with two goals. Kendra Haselow led the way with five draw controls for Hamline.

Justine Case made eight saves in net for the Pipers, while Emily Griege stopped 15 shots between the pipes for UW-Stevens Point.

The Pipers will face North Carolina Wesleyan in Rocky Mount, N.C. on Monday, March 11 at 4 p.m. (ET).
