TUCSON, AZ -- Acting/Interim President Murray spent the day in the sun, watching the Pipers put on an offensive clinic against the Edgewood Eagles.
Hamline 11, Edgewood 1
The Hamline Pipers offense exploded for 11 runs in a dominant victory over Edgewood College. Third baseman
Tyler Johnson led the way, going 3-for-5 with a home run and 5 RBIs, while
Jacob Barmore added a pair of singles and 3 RBIs.
The Pipers got things going early with a 4-run first inning, highlighted by Johnson's 3-run homer. They tacked on runs throughout the game, adding 7 more between the 6th and 7th innings to secure the comfortable win. Edgewood managed a solo home run in the 7th, but it wasn't enough to overcome the offensive onslaught from Hamline.
Hamline finishes their stint in Arizona on March 16 in a rematch against Wesleyan at 4 p.m. (PT).
