SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-6 non-conference bout with Saint Benedict at Klas Field on Wednesday evening.
The Pipers fall to 5-2, while the Bennies improve to 2-3.

An 8-0 Bennies lead with 9:32 remaining in the second quarter gave them more than enough cushion in a 16-6 victory over the Pipers. Hamline finished the game with the upper hand in draw controls 16-9.
Lizzie Schrubbe's game-high four assists engineered a Saint Benedict squad who accumulated 12 for the game. She added two goals for a game-high six-point performance. Grace Fitzgibbons led the way with five goals for the Bennies, who outshot the Pipers 30-21. Emma Nelson registered three goals, one assist, six draw controls, and four ground balls while Emma Osland, Sami Hackley, and Ella Streinke each scored two goals for Saint Benedict.
The Pipers were led by Maitland Luksan's two goals and one assist. Courtney Parker also tallied two goals along with four draw controls. Kendra Haselow led Hamline with six draw controls, while Sophia Warner and Ema Rehder each had three ground balls.Â
Chloe Lewis made nine saves in net for Saint Benedict. Justine Case stopped three shots in the first half for the Pipers, before Lola Brouwer made seven saves over the final 30:00.
The Pipers will host UW-Eau Claire at Klas Field on Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.
