MENOMONIE, WIS.—The Hamline University women's lacrosse team secured a 12-9 road victory over UW-Stout in their 2024 regular season finale in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Monday evening.

The Pipers wrap up the regular season with a 9-8 record, while the Blue Devils finish their season 4-12.

Hamline 12, UW-Stout 9

It was a tale of two halves, as Hamline had the upper hand in shots 20-7, and ground balls 12-6 over the opening 30:00 of play. Those advantages paved the way for an 8-2 halftime lead for the Pipers.

UW-Stout outscored Hamline 7-4 throughout the second half, where they also had advantages in shots 23-17, and ground balls 20-15. Despite a strong second half from the Blue Devils, the Pipers never surrendered a lead in a 12-9 decision.

Courtney Parker led the Pipers with three goals, while Nicole Phillips was all over the stat sheet with two goals, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls. Maitland Luksan and Aoi Suzuki each netted two goals for the Pipers, who out shot Stout 37-30.

Maddie Swanson paced the Pipers with six ground balls, four draw controls, and two caused turnovers.

Hamline goalies Justine Case and Lola Brouwer each made three saves over 30:00 of action in net. Katt Squire stopped 12 shots in net for the Blue Devils.

No. 4 seed Hamline will make the trip to No. 1 seed Saint Benedict in a Midwest Lacrosse Conference Semifinal game on Wednesday, May 1 at 5 p.m.
