SAINT PAUL, MINN.—For the second-straight match, the Hamline University women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against Saint Benedict at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday afternoon. Among 33 all-time meetings between the two schools, this marked just the third match that didn't end in a loss for Hamline. The other occasions included a 3-1 victory for the Pipers on October 22, 2016, and a 1-0 decision over the Bennies on October 9, 2007.
The Pipers, who snapped a six-game losing skid to the Bennies, move to 3-3-2, 0-0-2 MIAC. St. Benedict exited Saturday with a 3-1-3, 0-0-2 MIAC record.

A combined 11 shots were fired in each half. The opening half resulted in an 8-3 advantage for St. Ben's, followed by a 6-5 edge for the Pipers over the final 45:00. Maya Dempsey contributed two shots while seven individuals fired one, four of which were on target.
The game ended with a 13-9 shots advantage for St. Benedict, led by two apiece from Alli Voss, Olivia Miller, and Gabby Fernholz.
Isabella Jensen made five saves in her second straight complete-game shutout in net for the Pipers, while her counterpart Annie Waters stopped four shots between the pipes for the Bennies.
Hamline will host Luther at Pat Paterson Field on Wednesday, September 25 at 4 p.m.
