SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's volleyball team widened their win streak to three with a 3-1 (17-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-12) decision over Luther at Hutton Arena on Wednesday night.
The Pipers improve to 7-7, while the Norse fall to 4-12.

Sarina Stortz's five kills engineered a Luther squad who hit .294, and committed just three errors in the opening set. The Norse's stellar hitting, coupled with 13 Piper errors powered them to a 25-17 victory in set one.
Hamline came back with a .322 hitting percentage over the final three frames after they notched a .079 mark in the opening set. Lauren Wilborn's 13 of her team-leading 15 kills occurred in the last three sets, where the Pipers secured 25-14, 25-16, and 25-12 victories en route to a 3-1 match win.
Kaitlyn Kotek had a four-set career-high 48 assists as well as four aces for the Pipers. Wilborn had 15 kills and 10 digs. Riley Melby and Grace Bathurst followed with 14 kills apiece. Kayli Starkey added three aces.
Jenna Rubbelke paced Hamline with 30 digs along with an ace, while Grace Tesmer led the way at the net with four assisted blocks. Mandy Dierks chipped in 14 digs.
Luther was led by Sarina Stortz's 14 kills.
The Pipers will open MIAC play at St. Catherine on Friday, September 27 at 7 p.m.
