DULUTH, MINN.--The Hamline University men's basketball team defeated St. Scholastica 99-76 in Duluth on Saturday afternoon.
The Pipers improve to 10-8, 6-3 MIAC, while the Saints fall to 7-11, 3-6 MIAC. Hamline is now 7-1 against the Saints since they became MIAC members in 2021-22.

The first half featured several notable scoring streaks and turnovers by both teams. The Saints started strong with Jacquez Overstreet scoring on a fast-break layup, contributing to an early 4-0 run. Hamline's
Austin Holt responded with consecutive layups, tying the score at 4-4.
Raoul Vaidya's 3-pointer at 17:16 gave the Pipers a brief lead, but Drelyn Jones quickly answered with a 3-pointer of his own to put the Saints ahead again. Hamline surged ahead late in the half, led by
Dominic Dosmann and
Brendan Ebel, who combined for crucial points during a 9-0 run to end the half with a 49-37 lead over the Saints.
In the second half, the Pipers extended their lead with a strong offensive performance, scoring 50 points compared to the Saints' 39.
Raoul Vaidya was instrumental for Hamline, hitting three 3-pointers, including one at the 17:43 mark, which contributed to a significant scoring run.
Daniel McCarrell and
Bradley Cimperman added to the visitors' momentum, combining for key baskets in the paint. The Saints' Jacquez Overstreet tried to keep his team in contention with consistent scoring, including several successful three-point shots, but Hamline's balanced attack and dominance on the boards, with 26 total rebounds to the home team's 17, helped secure their 99-76 win.
The Pipers' 99 points is a season-high, while their .631 (41-of-65) field goal percentage is their highest since they converted a .667 (40-of-60) mark in a 106-72 win over Northwestern on November 15, 2017.
Raoul Vaidya made a significant impact with 20 points, hitting 7-of-11 field goals, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc.
Brendan Ebel contributed 12 points and led the team with six assists, adding six rebounds to his performance.
Bradley Cimperman was efficient, scoring 16 points while making 7-of-8 field goal attempts.
Dominic Dosmann scored a career-high 20 points, going 9-for-13 from the field, and contributed seven rebounds. Hamline finished with 21 assists as a team.
Jacquez Overstreet led the Saints with 20 points, making six field goals and four 3-pointers, and contributed with two steals. Aaron Keykal was efficient with his scoring, recording 14 points on seven of ten shooting and adding seven rebounds and a block. Koy Nelson provided playmaking ability with a team-high five assists and secured six total rebounds. Kobe Karels showcased his shooting accuracy from beyond the arc, making all three of his 3-point attempts, while also recording three steals. Additionally, Tanner Thomson contributed nine points on four of seven shooting and added two assists.
