ST. PAUL, Minn. — Macalester College (2-2) defeated Hamline University (1-3) with a decisive 29-0 victory at Macalester Stadium, bolstered by a strong rushing attack that amassed 341 yards.
Macalester held the Pipers scoreless but the Pipers held down their defense in the second half to keep it a tight game.
Croix Zacharias led the defense with 14 total tackles and forced a fumble, contributing significantly to Hamline's defensive efforts. On offense, Wynn carried the ball seven times, gaining 42 yards on the ground.
Eric Pfenning-Wendt caught four passes, totaling 36 receiving yards. Defensively,
Peter Schmitz added nine tackles to his stat line.
The Pipers will be back on home turf for Homecoming weekend on Saturday, October 11 at 1 PM at Klas Field.
