SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline (4-0-0, 1-0-0) defeated Saint Mary's (1-3-0, 0-1-0), 4-1, at home. The Pipers' defense limited the Cardinals to 18 shots, continuing to show their skilled play on the ice.
The first period began with the Pipers exerting pressure early as
Calie Peterson and
Abigail Chamernick tested Saint Mary's goalie Magali Fillion with shots. Despite controlling several faceoffs, Hamline could not capitalize on their offensive opportunities. The defensive unit, led by
Kendra Nordick in goal, effectively neutralized Saint Mary's power play midway through the period, maintaining the stalemate. In the latter half, Hamline continued to press, generating multiple shots during a power play following a penalty on Keeley Callander. However, the period closed scoreless as Fillion withstood the Pipers' attempts, and the teams remained tied at 0–0.
The second period began with Hamline securing momentum early through dominant faceoff wins and consistent pressure on Saint Mary's defense. Grace Delmonico capitalized on this with an even-strength goal at 15:11, assisted by
