SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline (6-0-0, 3-0-0) secured a 1-0 victory over Bethel University (MN) (2-3-0, 0-3-0) in a defensive battle at home. The Pipers' goaltender stopped all 33 shots faced, contributing to the shutout win.
The first period began with Hamline taking control at the faceoff, with
Iyla Ryskamp winning against Maddi O'Connor. Hamline maintained offensive pressure early on, with
Abigail Chamernick and
Ashlyn Abrahamson each contributing to a series of shots, though Bethel's goalie, Ashley Gustafson Hess, managed to keep the net secure. Despite the flurry of attempts, Hamline was unable to convert any into goals.
