DE PERE, WIS.—The Hamline University women's tennis team concluded their two-match Wisconsin trip with a 5-2 victory over Augustana (Ill.) at the Green Bay Tennis Center on Saturday.
The Pipers improve to 4-3, while the Vikings fall to 4-6.
"Terrific win for the women here in Green Bay against a talented Augustana squad," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "We lost the doubles point and then came through with five big singles wins. Sophomore phenom Elena Kohner clinched it at at three singles and Emily Dreger completed an undefeated weekend in singles after never having played a singles match in her tennis career."

Cora Andersen took care of business at No. 2 singles with a 7-6, 6-3 win, while Kohner won 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 at No. 3. Muller was victorious by a 2-6, 6-4,1-0 score at No. 4 singles. Anya Sugden ran away with a 6-1, 6-1 trouncing at No. 6 singles. A tiebreak occurred at No. 6 singles, where Emily Dreger prevailed 6-2, 4-6, 1-0.
The Pipers will resume MIAC play at St. Scholastica on Saturday, February 15.Â
