Pipers Hosted Falcons For Cancer Awareness Night

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's lacrosse team fell to UW-River Falls 23-4 at Klas Field on Wednesday evening. The game was billed as Cancer Awareness Night.

The Pipers fall to 5-7, 3-3 WIAC, while the Falcons improve to 9-5, 4-3 WIAC.

Reagan Zywicki was Hamline's lone multi-point scorer with one goal and one assist. Courtney Parker, Aoi Suzuki, and Emma Collins each registered a goal for the Pipers. Lauren Moorhouse led the way with five draw controls, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers as well as one assist.

The Falcons, who out shot the Pipers 36-11, got hat tricks from Piper Perron, Samantha Hayek, Kylah Link, and Avery Watzke. Hayek added three assists for a game-high six points for River Falls.

Pipers goalie Matilda Urbia made eight saves. Isabel Orton, Annelise Rommeck, and Abby Hammond combined for six saves in net for the Falcons.

Hamline will travel to Augsburg on Friday, April 18. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
