SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team's record-breaking 2024-25 season ended with a 6-3 victory over Macalester at Holt Courts on Sunday.
"Terrific win to cap a milestone season," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Game balls awarded to Elena, Emily, Chloe and Christine, who combined to be undefeated today to beat our foes from down the street."
The Pipers finish 2024-25 with a 13-8, 4-6 MIAC record, believed to be the most victories in program history, while the Scots end their season with a 3-15, 4-6 MIAC mark.
Hamline 6, Macalester 3
Two doubles matches belonged to Hamline behind an 8-6 win from Elanna Kohner/Christine Muller at No. 2, and an 8-2 victory from Emily Dreger/Chloe Reyes at No. 3.
The bottom four singles matches resulted in a Hamline victory. No. 3 Kohner (6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7)), No. 4 Muller (6-2, 6-1), No. 5 Dreger (6-0, 6-0), and No. 6 Reyes (6-0, 6-4) won their matches.
The Pipers are set to return 8-of-10 student-athletes in 2025-26 after they bid farewell to graduate student Cora Andersen, and senior Jessica Widmer.
