SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline (13-2-0, 7-1-0) defeated St. Olaf (7-8-0, 4-4-0) with a decisive 5–1 victory. The Pipers' aggressive offense was evident with three goals in the first period, contributing to their dominant performance.
Hamline started strong in the first period with consistent offensive pressure.
Calie Peterson opened the scoring at 11:59, assisted by
Maddy Belisle and
Hannah Peterson, putting the team on the board. Just minutes later,
Ellie Newpower doubled the lead at 13:15 with a goal assisted by Belisle.
Calie Peterson struck again at 14:28, netting her second goal of the period with an assist from
Macy Peterson, extending the lead. The team maintained control for the remainder of the period, concluding with a 3–0 advantage over St. Olaf.
Calie Peterson completed a hat trick at 12:41 of the second period, assisted by Newpower, significantly boosting the lead. The period saw the Pipers maintain pressure with consistent shots, though many were saved by St. Olaf's goalie, Hannah Fritz.
