DULUTH, Minn. — Hamline (6-29, 3-16) concluded their doubleheader against the College of St. Scholastica (7-29, 1-17) with an impressive 11-5 victory in the first game, followed by a narrow 5-4 win in the second. The Pipers showcased their offensive strength, particularly in key innings across both games.
In the first game, Hamline defeated St. Scholastica with a final score of 11-5. The game started with St. Scholastica taking an early lead in the first inning, scoring three runs, including a two-RBI double by Jadyn Lind, to make it 3-0. However, Hamline responded in the second inning with a run from
Mikenna Johnson, driven in by a double from
Julia Sina, narrowing the score to 3-1.
The Pipers continued to fight back in the third inning, with
Abigail Chamernick scoring on a bunt by
Josephine Cariveau and
Elena Martinez crossing home on a passed ball. St. Scholastica added a run with a solo homer from Katelyn Hackman, bringing the score to 4-3 in favor of St. Scholastica.
