SAINT PAUL, Minn. --- Alex Card has stepped down from his position as Hamline University head men's and women's swimming and diving coach.

Card departs Hamline after four seasons at the helm of the Piper men's and women's swimming and diving programs. During his first season in 2022-23, Card coached Courtney Broyles to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, becoming Hamline's first women's NCAA Championship qualifier in at least 16 years. Also during his time as head coach the program had 20 changes to the top 10 list, 9 of which were school records.

During the 2025-26 season, Card coached Kevin Bossou to a pair of All-MIAC finishes and an appearance at the NCAA Diving Regional. The Pipers also found success in the classroom, with eight members of the men's and women's swimming and diving programs earning MIAC Academic All-Conference honors in 2025-26 and four men's swimmers receiving CSC Academic All-District recognition.

A search for the next head men's and women's swimming and diving coach is underway.
