Michael Harris enters his fifth season at Hamline University in 2026 and his first as the Pipers’ offensive coordinator after being promoted ahead of the season. Harris previously served as an assistant coach, working with the offensive line.

Harris began his collegiate coaching career at MIAC rival Macalester College, where he spent three seasons coaching the offensive line. Prior to Macalester, he spent one season coaching the offensive line at Hopkins High School in Minnesota.

A native of Duarte, California, Harris was a three-year starter for the UCLA Bruins, finishing his collegiate career with 42 starts as an offensive lineman. He was signed by the San Diego Chargers in 2012 before joining the Minnesota Vikings in 2014. In 2015, Harris started all 16 games as the Vikings captured the NFC North title. He has remained involved with the NFL, serving as a uniform inspector for Minnesota Vikings home games since 2019.

Harris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from UCLA in 2011.
