Nathan Bane

  • Title
Assistant Football Coach / Special Teams Coordinator, Running Backs
RECRUITING AREAS: Missouri, Florida

Nathan Bane is in his 13th season with the Pipers during the 2024-25 academic year. Bane works mainly with running backs, but has experience with many different position groups throughout his career at Hamline.

When Chad Rogosheske was named head coach for the 2013 season, Bane moved to the other side of the ball as a defensive line coach. That season, he helped tutor Corey Touchette, who led the team that year with 7.5 sacks.

In 2014, he moved to the secondary, working with the corner backs, but in 2015 he went back to the offensive side of things, working with quarterbacks Kyle Johnson and Justice Spriggs. At one point, the pair threw 135 consecutive passes without an interception. In 2016, Bane returned to working with wide receivers, a role that he held when originally coming to Hamline in 2012, and in 2019 he switched to working with running backs.

Prior to coming to Hamline, Bane spent two seasons in operations with the University of Minnesota football program. He also spent a decade as an assistant coach at Roseville High School.
