Isaac Brooks joined the Hamline men’s basketball coaching staff before the 2022-23 campaign, and will embark on his third season as assistant coach in 2024-25.
His main duties will include player development, scouting, and day-to-day operations.
Isaac came to Hamline as a player between 2015-19 and played for the Head Coach Jim Hayes during his time there. While there, he started for 3 full seasons and scored 1118 points, good for 16th all time at Hamline. He was also top 20 in Rebounds, top 10 in FGs made, and top 12 in career FG%.
During Isaac's sophomore year, he was a part of a 14-12 team complete with wins at St. Thomas (for the first time since 1979) and sweeps of Gustavus Adolphus and St. Olaf. The Pipers made the MIAC playoffs that season as well, marking their first appearance since 2010-11.
The following season in 2017-18, Brooks was a member of a team with a 13-12 record with wins over St. Thomas (for the second year in a row) and Williams (then ranked No. 5 in the country). It marked the first time in six years that HU has had a winning season in back-to-back years.
In addition to his collegiate coaching, Isaac is the Manager of Industry Data Analytics at Thomson Reuters.
Isaac graduated from Hamline in 2019 with a undergraduate degree in Finance and Business Analytics.
