Randy Crowell

    Assistant Tennis Coach
Randy Crowell joined the Hamline tennis coaching staff in the winter of 2021 as an assistant coach, and will enter his fifth season in that role in 2024-25.
 
Crowell brought plentiful tennis coaching and playing experience with him to Hamline. He attended both the University of Minnesota and St. Thomas. After graduating with a degree in business, Crowell continued playing tennis, being a nationally ranked adult player at various age levels. Most recently, he was ranked #1 in the nation in Men’s 60 Doubles in 2016 and #15 in Senior Father-Daughter Doubles in 2017.
 
In 1980 and 1981, Crowell served as an assistant men’s tennis coach at Normandale College and was later an assistant at St. Thomas in 1986-87. He also coached national level juniors at Northwest tennis from 1989-94.
 
In 1996 Crowell earned the Northwest Section Burnet Award of Excellence for serving as a team captain for the Men’s 5.0 National Champions.
 
Tennis is a family activity for Crowell, as his wife, Kim, and children, Savanna and Wyatt, are all tennis players as well.
