In her first three games of the 2014-15 season, HU sophomore guard Chelsey Bonsante scored 36 points.

She nearly doubled that output in her fourth game.

Bonsante fired in a career high 31 points -- the most by any MIAC player this season -- as Hamline defeated Northwestern, 82-75, in overtime to even their season record at 2-2. Bonsante had a key piece of the action in the extra period to help the Pipers to the victory.

HU was down 75-74 when Bonsante calmly stepped to the free throw line and downed a pair with 1:09 remaining. Chloe Graves hit a three-pointer and Bonsante then finished off the Eagles with two more charity tosses. The 31-point night topped her previous best effort when she dumped in 27 at St. Benedict last season.

She is second on the Pipers in and fourth in the MIAC in scoring with a 16.8 ppg average. Her 10 three pointers leads the Pipers and also is fourth best in the MIAC.

Bonsante will get to show her skills of at home for the first time this season November 25 when HU hosts UW-Stout in a 7:00 p.m. game at Hutton Arena.
