Alex Torgrimson made a big splash for the HU women's swimming team in their January 11 meet with St. Benedict at Bush Pool.Â
The sophomore had a busy -- and very successful -- night, winning three races for the Pipers in the dual meet.Â
The Zumbrota, Minn. native started her run with an eight second triumph in the 200 IM, winning in 2:21.17. She followed that with a 100 Fly triumph, submerging the field in 1:04.55 In the 100 Breaststroke, Alex found herself going arm in arm with teammate Mara Boulanger. Torgimson's time of 1:17.82 was a hundred of a second faster than her fellow Piper.
Torgrimson and the Pipers will be back at Bush Pool on Friday, January 18 for a meet against Augsburg. The action begins at 6:00 p.m.
