It may be very cold outside but it's very wamr indoors these days. At it is when HU junior guard Jordan Sammons is on the court.
Sammons continued her fiery early pace of the season, scoring 56 points in two games for the women's hoopsters. Sammons, who scored a career high 35 in the season opener against Northwestern, unloaded 30 in the first conference game of the season at Gustavus Adolphus. The back-to-back 30 point games are believed to be a first in Hamline's women's hoops history.
She followed that up with a solid 26 point effort at Carleton three days later.
Going into tonight's game at St. Ben's, Jordan leads the MIAC in Points (91), Â Field Goals (35), Rebounds (36) and Minutes Played Per Game (35.3). She also sits fourth in Steals Per game (3.0).
The ballhawking Burnsville, Minn. native will be busy this week. In addition Monday's game at St. Ben's, Jordan and her teammates take on St. Thomas on Wednesday at Hutton Arena (7:30 p.m.) and finish off at Concordia on Saturday (1:00 p.m.)Â .
