Box Score For the second Friday night in a row, Matt Hemingway stood tall in the Hamline men's hockey net. The junior kicked out 25 shots as the Pipers stayed undefeated on Fridays in the new year with a 1-1 tie against Augsbvurg in Vadnais Heights.

It was an even game in many ways -- HU held a slight edge in shots but the Auggies may have had the better chances. The power plays were event and the Auggies enjoyed a slight edge in faceoffs.

Cam Stowers struck the first blow for the Pipers, finishing off a three-way play in front of the Augsburg goal for hid third goal of the season at 1:39 of the second period.

The 1-0 scored held until the Auggies batted in a rebounds for a goal 6:39 into the final frame. That was it for the scoring but Hemingway came up with a pair of superb strops during an Auggie power play midway in the final frame.

In the extra session, Hu held a slight 3-2 edge in shots and nearly had another last-gasp victory but Brandon Zurn's shot just missed an open corner.

HU is now 1-14-3 overall (1-7-1 MIAC).

The teams meet again Saturday in Minneapolis at 7:05 p.m.
